Story

I bought this Suzuki new from the dealer in 1992. I've owned it 22 years! I started modifying everything over time. I know her like my pockets. Everything is carefully tuned to work with the big bore motor. An additional oil cooler was needed for the extra HPs coming from the generous 1300ccm. But power is not everything. The forks are from the new generation GSXR 1000 with stronger lower and upper trees, and the rear swingarm has a double truss reinforcement. The paint job reminds me that I am corruptible; riding this machine reminds me that there's nothing wrong with that.

Thumbs Up

There is nothing like looking at your bike and knowing every secret it has, and seeing the result of your work and attention to detail. The best of all is when you FEEL that every modification you've made makes a difference in riding behaviour, and that YOU can tell. It's quite empowering. I wish more people made this experience.

Thumbs Down

Flaws, like the undersized stock frame (really?), are there for a good reason: this machine has gone a long, long way from where it started; it became my creative exercise and it was never meant to be perfect, it was meant to tell my story, which is much more important. The guys at TÜV wouldn't understand.
